Hey we are NITians !
Thanks to the timely
decision of the Govt. of India, our
college has been stripped off the Status
of REC, rather it's now an NIT (National
Institute Of Technology).....
and is now a Deemed University.
Not Impressed ? Even the Sign Board at
the College Entrance says so !
The
Heat is ON !
For the 99 Batch its the
testing time .... after 3 years in the
College (read as Institute), the day has
finally come that will prove how much
grey matter is there in between the ears
of the folks ..... but hey don't u dare
to undermine the role of Luck ! that too
in this era of Recession, where the word
is around that only the lucky few will
land up with jobs, and how many of those
will actually get to join, is another
matter !
Serious
about the Future !
After all that freaking for
years in the Campus, suddenly the time
has come for the folks in the 3rd and
final years to realize the actual aim for
which their Parents had send them to this
college – To secure a bright future
! ( how many of u guessed that right ?).
As a result guys are seriously preparing
for (at least they talk seriously of)
CATs, GATEs, GREs ... and many more
......and those who arent, have an eye at
the oncoming campus; which, we are told,
is not going to be any better than 2001.
Lets see Kaun Billi (CAT) Maarega, aur
Kaun Darwaza (GATE) Khol Paayega !!?!!

This column,
we at thetechies wish were not writing.
But our commitment to give you a tryst
with the truth holds us.
The global situation of
technical jobs is rotten. Thanks to the
three devils – International
Recession, Events in the US in 2001,
Software meltdown. Some say its the worst
scene since 1990-91. The optimists see it
as the final phase before the U-turn
begins. But the news with us right now is
that the on-campus jobs will be slightly
fewer than last year. And off-campus
....... O God, help the innocent souls
!!!
